It is thought that Walkers does not fit into Gordon Strachan's plans at Middlesbrough this season, and with Walker looking for regular first team football, he has been allowed to join the Millers. Josh joins the Millers on an initial one month loan, and will go straight into the squad for the game at Burton this Afternoon.
Earlier this season the 21yr old midfielder, who can also play in the back-line, went on loan to Northampton, but his appearances were restricted through injury. Josh has was on loan with Bournemouth in the 2006-07 season, making six appearances for the Cherries who were interested in taking him on a permanent basis. Josh also spent time on loan with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen scoring a goal in the 2-2 UEFA Cup draw with Bayern Munich.
"He is a tremendous player who is good on the ball," "He will steady things in the midfield which is something we have been lacking, especially in the game against Shrewsbury. We missed Robbo, who is that type of player as well, but they can both play together, and we have got Danny and Micky as well so there are plenty of options."
MillersMAD Welcomes Josh, and hope he enjoys his stay with the Millers.
