Talking to the clubs official website, themillers.co.uk Warney said; "We don't have anything bubbling away as in we're going to definitively sign a player tomorrow, We want to get all of our signings right, but our loan additions will be really important this year. They are the ones we're trying to make decisions on at the moment.”
"Potentially if we are loaning a player from a top Championship team or a Premier League team, they won't be finishing for another three or four weeks, They might not back into pre-season until the middle of August so it might be then before they know whether they can release them to us.
"That is a bit of a blow in terms of loan recruitment. It is whether we hang out for who we want or do we react to the ones that are available sooner. That is our usual dilemma, which is possibly intensified a little bit this year.”
Paul Davis of the Rotherham Advertiser has tweeted that Warne is hoping to bring back 3 of last years loanees for the Millers crack at the Championship. Dan Barlaser, Dan Iverson and Hakeeb Adelakun.
"We definitely need to strengthen our squad as best we can but as always, we just want the right people for our great club, We've still got a few decisions to make on a few and we have the usual transfer window problems in that, if you're loaning players, the process for that could be even longer this year.”
