Vaulks is the subject of a transfer rumour to Rangers, but Warney is looking to the future with Vaulks in his team.

But where to play him?? "Realistically, with someone of his energy and enthusisam, the best place for him to play is in the middle of the park because he has the biggest influence.”
“He can play right-back, as we’ve seen, I can see he has got attributes to play at right-back. But if he hasn’t got the love to play there over the entirety of a season or compete with Darnell Fisher, or who ever is it, then it’s probably best that he’s in the team where he is."
“If I need to, I can then move him to right-back. I don’t want it to sound like a dictatorship, but players do as they’re told. For him to go and play at right-back for five or six games, fine. But, at the age of 23, he doesn’t want to be completely stamped as a right-back."
