“I’m relieved is probably the best way to put it. We knew Solihull were going to be good and we prepared the team as well as we always do,” Warne told themillers.co.uk
“We did everything we possibly could to warn them of their threat and their physicality and in fairness I was always worried about conceding an early goal because it gives them a right boost.
“I thought they played really well, I’m not going to criticise my team. They stopped us getting the ball out wide and creating crosses and goalscoring opportunities and it wasn’t until we made the changes that we were able to create chances and take them."
“To come back from 3-0 down to win 4-3 gives the lads great pride. I just think we needed to improve in a few areas tonight, I didn’t think we were really at our best, but I did think the opposition were excellent."
“They’re good characters and we’ve recruited a bunch of winners. We said to them at half-time that we felt that they were letting themselves down a little bit. They do give everything but first half we over complicated it. We went backwards and sideways too much which isn’t really us. I think if we play with our DNA we’re a really good side and the last 25 minutes was more ‘us’.”
