Speaking to todays 'Tiser, Mark admited; "It's the worst injury I've had and I was gutted," admits Hudson. "I've been lucky with injuries through my career and to get one the week before the new season was a real blow."
"The lads were gutted for me as well. I still went to the training ground and kept amongst them but it's not the same when you're not playing. It's hard when you turn up at Hooton Lodge and you see all the lads going out onto the training pitch but you can't join them."
After spending three months out and a spell at Lilleshall, Mark has got himself fit and made his league debut by coming on as a sub in the win over Morecambe.
"I'd like to put the improvement in the team down to myself," Mark jested, "I've been winding the lads up, saying 'the saviour is back.' But seriously, the 4-3-3 formation the gaffer tried down at Dagenham worked well. He brought Pablo Mills back in and I thought he was outstanding, with me and Danny Harrison pushing on. With that set-up I think we can get a lot more goals."
"To be honest, I'm not back up to full fitness yet. I need a couple of more games to get back to full fitness because that's the only way you can do it."
"I must say it's great to be back playing and to be back among the lads with all the banter. We've had a bit of a start with two wins on the trot and now we want to get on a good run." he added.
