Speaking to the press after the game, Warney said; "I think the lads did enough to get a draw, Smithy had a great chance first-half which smacked the post, their 'keeper made a great save from Vass (Kyle Vassell).
"We got a deserved goal, and we were more than deserving of a point. I was disappointed with the first-half, I thought that we took too many chances in the middle of the pitch which I told them not to. There were too many sideways passes for my liking. They out-numbered us there and I don't think we were forceful enough and quick enough in the first-half.
"I told them at half-time and I asked them to play in a different way in the second-half. They did that and I thought if nothing else this group have got unbelievable character. I don't know when the last time was when we came back from behind in a Championship game, especially away from home, so I am really pleased with what they are trying to do.
"I thought that after we rode the initial storm, we were really in the game. Our record on defending set-pieces has been pretty good this year, but I was disappointed we lost the goal when we did because I thought that we were in a really good spell. We were on the front foot, so that was disappointing.
"Like I said, the second-half we were really good and I thought that we were the team that was going to win it."
