Speaking on themillers.co.uk, Evans said; “We lost on Tuesday night, we take it on the chin and we now move on and focus on what was always the number one objective which is League One, That doesn’t take away the hurt from the defeat but we know that our priority is to be as near as we can be to the top of League One.”
Despite the disappointment of exiting the cups, the Millers are still handily placed in the league, and thats where Evans now looks to progress.
"Considering that today we sit in sixth position before we visit Bristol City, almost a year ago we were outside the play-offs in League Two. We are sixth but we are still frustrated with the season so far. It is now about focus, paying attention to detail and getting through what is a really tough month. The games coming up are huge. Bristol City on Saturday, there will be 15,000 there to watch Steve Cotterill’s first game, he is a man I know, respect and like immensely and it will be good to catch up, but we are there to get some points."
“Of course we then have Wolves, who in my opinion will be the Champions at the end of the season, and then we have Bradford, Port Vale and a home game with Coventry, tough games but this is why we are in League One.” he added
