Speaking in the Advertiser, the defnder from Bury said; “We have a really good technical squad here with a lot of ability but obviously in League Two some games are a battle so we need to wise up to that. We know we can play good football and we have players who can score goals and create chances but sometimes it is not as easy as that. Gillingham turned it into a battle on Monday and came out on top."
“In this division sometimes, it is hard for the quality to come through because you have to first and foremost win the battle and the second balls.”
Skarz says that the quality of the squad is more than good enough to compete in League 1.
“The quality of the squad here is far too good for the level but as I found out with Bury this year, League One is really tough and there is a gap. I think if this squad went up it would more than compete. Bury have been decimated by player departures; they've lost players they didn't want to let go but the squad here is more than a match for the one which took us out of League Two.”
“Promotion is our target and whichever way we do it, obviously we're still within reach of automatic, we want to go up. Monday was a setback but we've got six games left and we're aiming to win all six and there's no reason why we can't.” HE ADDED
