Raynes joing the Millers from League 1 Scunthorpe and admits the clubs ambition was a big pull; “I would not have come here if I didn’t think we could win things,” Raynes told The Star.
“I think we have got enough experience in the squad to do well. We have got players who have got promoted from this league before so we are going to give it a right good go. We have to aim for top spot and we are going to do everything in our power to achieve that goal.”
Meanwhile he added that he expects a fight to keep his place in the team; "We have got some good centre-backs here so I know I have to keep playing well to stay in the team." he said
“It is never a bad thing having competition for places and I know I have to avoid complacency or I won’t play.” he added.
