"It is important we try and help our supporters all we can, They have to go to a new ground and, for many of them, leaving Millmoor is an emotional tie they are breaking that goes back a long time. he said.
"The encouraging thing is that the feedback over the Don Valley Stadium has been excellent so far and we want to make the move for them as good as possible." Tony added.
He also revealed that he has turned down the opportunity of having his own personalised car parking space at Don Valley; "Somebody asked me about a car park place with my initials on it but I declined saying that it would be taking up a space that one of our fans can use, I'll take my chance like everyone else. We want to help the fans wherever we can." he said.
Meanwhile, Tony dismissed worries that the club cannot actually play at Don Valley until the Football League have granted permission.
It was annoucned last week that the FL had still not given permission for the move, however that was just a formality until the club exit administration explained Andy Williamson from the Football League; "An application is yet to be made although the situation is complicated further by the fact that Rotherham United remains in administration and our priority is to establish how the club aims to exit from that position,"
However Tony Stewart was unworried by this and told the Star; "I'm happy that everything is in sequence and that the administrator and the solicitor have got things in hand,"
All monies handed over is respect of season ticket sales has been put in trust until the Millers exit administration.
