Alfie netted another two goals and has 17 for the season already, but the Millers threw a two goal advantage away at home to mid-table Burton and the forward admits the team needs to be defending much tighter.
"We are bitterly disappointed," Le Fondre told The Star. "We had the 2-0 lead but we have thrown the game away.
"We had a lot of opportunities in the 15-minute spell after half-time."
Defender Nick Fenton saw red and will now face a three game ban, and Alf added: "It was not the best of tackles. The sending off changed the game in their favour, but we have to defend better as a team and see the game out."
