Evans was signed by Andy Scott in the summer from Bradford and has arguably a point to prove.
After signing a one year deal he's been the most consistent Millers player over the first dozen games of the campaign, and told the Advertiser he has faith in the manager and that the team owe it's supporters some big performances.
"The manager sold this club to me and I saw this as a club that was going up - with this manager.
"There's plenty of ambition here and I firmly believe we can turn this around and get in the top half, the play-offs and ultimately go up. But we need to be challenging and to start doing the basics right. Until we do that then we`re not going to get anything.
"The fans have been fantastic and to see them there at Bristol Rovers was great. They've got behind us and we need to start paying them back with results on the pitch.
"Until we do that then we`re not going to be happy. It's not just one person individually who is making mistakes. It's us as a team, we're all in it together and trying to improve by sticking together."
Ahead of the Shrewsbury game tomorrow, Evo added; "You often find that teams play well against the better sides and tend to up their game. Hopefully that's what we can do as these results can't carry on."
