With sub-zero temperatures all week and fresh snowfall last night it's looking like the Millers will see a second succesive home postponement after last weekends game against Dagenham also fell foul of a rock hard Don Valley pitch.
Speaking in the Advertiser, Ronnie didnt fancy the chances of getting Boxing day's game on; "We'll be very lucky if we get it on, The pitch is still rock hard. We've had the covers off during the day but the sun hasn't been getting high enough to take the temperature up and there's a real chill factor around." he said.
"It's been absolutely bitter at the training ground this week. Our groundsman, Jim Davison, is trying his best but it's unfortunate that the frost might beat us. I know warmer temperatures are forecast for Christmas Day but will that be enough?" he added.
"It's typical. We get some form and want the games to come thick and fast but then this happens, Both the Darlington game and the Chesterfield game are winnable."
Meanwhile the Dagenham game has been rearranged for Tuesday, February 9 with a 7:45pm kick off.
