We'll go for the play-offs! - Stewart

''Rotherham's got its club back'' was the message on Stewart's lips today despite the deduction, as League Two rivals Bournemouth await news on their football league future.

Stewart and Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas spoke to the local media about the situation, with the former saying: I'm going to make sure that we do our level best to reach the play-offs. Every game is going to be like a cup final."

Douglas added: "Two months ago we were dead-in-the-water as a football club. There didn't seem to be any way forward, no money in the kitty, and there didn't seem to be anybody willing to come in.

"It's been a rough three months, but we now have a team that's going into the League, albeit with a severe penalty. Comments on that we'll reserve for now."

The Millers kick-off their campaign against Lincoln at Don Valley this Saturday after receiving their 'golden share' back from the league today, after agreeing to the deal which sees the points deduction plus a bond guarantee of 750K that they'll return to Rotherham in the next four years - money which will be lost if the criteria isn't fulfilled.
