"We have looked at more than 25 available sites around the borough and we have narrowed it down to two" said the Chairman.

"One of those is looking more favourable and it is privately owned."

Speaking about a return to Millmoor, he added: "That site is not what we are looking for.

"We need a ground that will meet the needs of Rotherham United for the next 50 or 100 years. It's a new beginning and we need to move with the times."
