And Robins told the Star that the club are within their means regards spending power ahead of the new season and with plans for a new stadium and training complex on the horizon.
"The chairman, Tony Stewart, is being prudent, we aim to balance the books but this deal is a sign of the ambition that the club has in their intention to move forward," said Robins.
"The cup runs we had last season helped us financially, then there are season ticket sales but the chairman has backed me and we have a great relationship.
"Our aim is to improve on last season, when we got 75 points, and we are all working towards one aim and that is the success of Rotherham United.
"It sends out a message to our fans in that we are striving to take the club forward."
Meanwhile Millers fans have their last chance today to purchase their current seat at DVS before it goes on general sale tomorrow, season ticket sales are thought to have passed the thousand mark at the time of this article.
