We're where we deserve to be - Mullins

“I think we should be top seven or eight but the league table doesn't lie. You can't keep saying we've haven't got the rub of the green and we haven't got this or got that. We are where we are for a reason and all we can do is address it and go again." the 27 year old told the 'Tiser.

“After the game on Saturday, we spoke in the dressing room that we need to come together now as a group. We are individuals but we are a team and we've got to show it. We're 11 points shy of third place and it's time to stand up and be counted.”

“It's about strength of character. There's some very tough away games and they do really test your resolve but we're very positive and we've got to be confident. We've got some very strong individuals now. It's important we set ourselves up for the second half of the season. I'm confident that we'll come out of it in a promising position and that's what we've got to do.”

Mullins spoke about last Saturdays FA Cup defeat at Shrewsbury; “It was bitterly disappointing to go out in the fashion we did. We didn't deserve to lose. We went in at half time in front and set our stall out not to concede early in the second half. We didn't want to give them hope but they scored their goal two minutes and 40 seconds in and that was always going to make the second half a difficult one."

I thought it was an infringement on Conrad for the first goal but the referee didn't give it. I don't know what happened with their penalty winner. I thought it was a foul on Tom Newey first of all. The referee wouldn't talk to anyone about it and we didn't get much in the way of decisions."

“All we can do now is pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down and go again at Hereford.”
