Thomas wasnt part of the Daggers squad and he's hoping to make amends by getting some game time as the Millers bid to make it back to back promotions, 3 goals in 3 games will have boosted his chances.
Speaking to the Advertiser, Wes looked back; “Thinking back to my last time there, it was frustrating not even being in the squad. “It was nice to be part of that day but there's nothing better, after a win like that, than being on that pitch and knowing you've made a contribution."
“To play at Wembley is everyone's dream. It's something you never forget and I want us to have a good ending.”
Thomas scored the equilising goal against Preston; “It was an amazing night, The will to win here is frightening. We never know when we're beaten and I think that's what has made us so good. We are going to need that again because Leyton Orient are a good side and they may take the lead ,but just one more push at Wembley will get us promotion.”
Sunday could be the last game with the Millers for Wes, a decision on his future has yet to be made as his short term contract runs out in the summer; “I came in and scored in my first three games and then I got an injury that kept me out for a while and the team did well while I was out. I had to work my way back in and I think I've done that. he said.
“I'm only contracted here until the end of the season, so we'll sit down when the football is over and see what happens. But if this club was in the Championship, it would be an extra bonus for me if I were to stay.” he added
