After the 4-0 defeat last weekend, the gaffer is hoping his team can bounce back against a team that have lost three on the spin in League One and who's manager Karl Robinson is rumoured to be in talks about the vacant managers job at Sheffield United.
Evans was focusing on Millers matters this week though, as he spoke to Millers Player.
He said: "The lads have trained well this week and responded. They know the second half last week wasn't good enough.
"We're monitoring Michael O'Connor and it's a big task for him to start, but we could get 60 or 70 minutes out of him. Tom Eaves got 90 minutes against Leeds (reserves) and is looking good."
Meanwhile Evans confirmed Claude Davis is still missing through injury but Kari Arnason will return to the side after guiding Iceland into a World Cup play-off scenario this week.
Danny Hylton has joined managerless Bury on loan and the gaffer expects him to return with some sharpness in a months time.
"Danny's loan was arranged with Kevin Blackwell still in charge and Ronnie Jepson did still want to get the deal done. Danny will be a success there and I think he'll play a part with us when he comes back", added Evans.
