Last week, club chairman Denis Coleman mentioned that he would like to offer Williamson a new contract, and it looks like he has followed it through by offering him a further year's contract.
Speaking to Radio Sheffield today, Millers boss Alan Knill said: "He say's hes considering it, I spoke to his agent and they said they would consider it, We'll speak next week and it will be either a yes or no. If he does'nt then so be it, but if he accepts it then thats fantastic."
"But at the same time, we're realistic. If a really good offer comes in for him then you cant stand in the players way. I suppose its the same at every club."
