Talking to www.themillers.co.uk, Woods explained: "I was very disappointed to receive a red as I didn't feel I deserved it, I just jumped in and must have caught the lad in the face, the Referee thought it was a deliberate elbow but I caught him with my hand not my elbow and was very upset at being sent off.
“That means I now have a three match suspension which is a bit of a nightmare, Ian Sharps also got a red card but I didn't actually see what he did. I thought we put on a poor performance in the first half and then going down to ten men made it hard for us.”
Rumour is that the Millers were all set to appeal the decision, however a patchy video of the game provides insufficient evidence, meaning that the ban will now stand.
Full team news ahead of Saturday's trip to Bournemouth will appear on the site this evening.
