Woods gutted with relegation

After a dodgy start to the season, Woodys matured into the Millers star man after the departure of Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson, and went on to claim the MillersMAD player of the season award with weeks to spare.

Speaking to the 'Tiser Woods said: "I'm absolutely gutted to get relegated. It's hard to take. We put everything in this year but it just wasn't good enough. The points penalty was difficult and we always knew we had to do some-thing pretty special to get out of trouble, but it's still disappointing we didn't manage to pull it off."

"
We've started and ended the season well. I don't know what happened halfway through. Losing Will was a blow and maybe we started feeling sorry for ourselves when it happened. Chances went begging in games. Will is a really good player and any team in this league would miss him. Losing him killed us a wee bit."

Looking at the form the Millers have had since Mark Robins took over the reins "We've proved we can battle as well as play football but it's the middle patch of the season that has cost us. When times were hard we all needed to stand up and be counted." Woods said.

After claiming so many accolades, there are strong rumours about him moving away from Millmoor, and even a relegation clause in his contract, however he didn't rule out staying with the Millers for next seasons League Two campaign.

"I'm talking to the chairman. I'll have a chat with him and see where we go from there." he confirmed.
