The full back, who received criticism last season for his performances, seems rejuvinated with several impressive pre-season friendly displays and says although things have been tough, he's still enjoying his football.

Pilgrims days...
He told the official site today: "Personally I have really enjoyed pre-season training as we have had the balls out from day one and that is different from what it used to be like as often in the past we haven't had them for the first week or so.

"I got my first full 90 minutes in last night at Grimsby although I felt a bit tired in the closing minutes. I was ready for a full game as it's all about reaching that full fitness to make us ready for Brighton."

The former Plymouth man is now focusing on this Friday's test against Sheffield United at Millmoor and although the squad has had some fresh blood, it can only be good for competition.

He concluded: "We have competition all over the field now so hopefully we can get off to a good start and get rid of the points defecit we are starting with."
