The 23 year old has spent the last 8 years through the Millers youth system and made 47 appearances for the Millers scoring twice.
However, the striker has spent time out on loan at Carlisle and latterly Swindon Town, where he scored 14 goals.
Such was his form with the Robins, they were interested in his services on a permanant deal, but with the Millers exercising thier right to a further year on Yate's contract, and Blackpool showing interest a bidding war ensued. with Blackpool today coming out on today with an undisclosed bid accepted (rumoured to be around the £200k mark plus addons)
