Table toppers Wycombe Wanderers slipped to their first home defeat of the season with a surprise win for Grimsby Town at Adams Park. Jarman scored the only game of the game in the 24th minute. Wycombe Wanderers 1st, Grimsby Town 22nd.

Brentford left it late against Notts County to claim a point at Griffin Park. Facey gave the visitors a 12th minute lead only to see Phillips equalise in the final few seconds. Brentford 2nd, Notts County 14th.

Darlington saw off Luton Town with a comprehensive performance at The Arena in a match that was effectively over within the first 30 minutes. A brace from Purdie in the 10th and 24th minutes (the first coming from the penalty spot) gave the home side a great start. Hatch made it 3-0 in the 26th minute, with Austin making it 4-0 in the 28th minute. Martin pulled one back for the Hatters in the 30th minute. The second half was alot quieter on the goals from as Blundell added a 5th for the home side with 5 minutes to go. Darlington 3rd, Luton Town 24th.

Bradford City had to come from behind against Accrington Stanley at Valley Parade. Ryan put Stanley 1-up in the 5th minute, but saw Conlon level 6 minutes after the restart. Bradford City 4th, Accrington Stanley 20th.
Dagenham & Redbridge also had to come from behind to claim a point against Barnet at Underhill. The Bees took a 13th minute lead through O'Flynn, only to see Nwokeji level in the 65th minute. Barnet 21st, Dagenham & Redbridge 6th.

Shrewsbury Town also had to come from behind to claim a point against Port Vale at Vale Park. Thompson gave Vale a 9th minute lead, with Walker levelling in the 28th minute. Port Vale 16th, Shrewsbury Town 7th.

On a day of draws in League Two, Rochdale had to come from behind against Lincoln City at Spotland. Le Fondre gave the Dale a 26th minute lead, with Kennedy putting past his own keeper allowing City to level in the 48th minute. N'Guessan gave City a 62nd minute lead only to see McEvilly level, to salvage a point for the home side in the 84th minute. Rochdale 8th, Lincoln City 12th.

Gillingham took the long trip to Cumbria to face Morecambe at Christie Park. Their journey back to Kent will be a happy on as they claimed their third win on the road as Weston scored the only goal of the game in the 19th minute. Morecambe 15th, Gillingham 10th.

Aldershot Town left it late to snatch a point against Macclesfield at The Recreation Ground. Evans gave the Silkmen the lead in the 21st minute, with Hudson levelling in the 92nd minute. Aldershot Town 11th, Macclesfield 15th.

Chesterfield claimed what proved to be a comfortable 3-1 away win against Chester City at the Deva Stadium. Wilson put past his own keeper in the 30th minute to give the Spirites the lead. Mozika levelled for the home side in the 53rd minute, but it was not enough as Winter restored the advantage for the visitors in the 77th minute, with Kerry wrapping up the win in the 82nd minute. Chester City 18th, Chesterfield 13th.

Rotherham United made it 4 defeats on the spin for AFC Bournemouth at the Don Valley Stadium as Hudson scored the only goal of the game in the 18th minute. The Cherries cause was not helped when Hollands was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 64th minute. Rotherham United 19th, AFC Bournemouth 23rd.

Finally, Exeter City (9th) and Bury (5th) could only muster a 0-0 draw at St James's Park.
