AFC Bournemouth extended their lead at the top of League Two to 4-points with a 1-0 win over Burton Albion at Dean Court, but they left it late to do so. A solitary Pitman goal in the 86th minute was enough to seal the win to maintain the Cherries excellent start to the season. AFC Bournemouth 1st, Burton Albion 14th.

Dagenham & Redbridge were held at home by Morecambe at Victoria Road. Scott gave the Daggers a 37th minute lead, with Jevons levelling from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute. Dagenham & Redbridge 2nd, Morecambe 18th.

Rotherham United halted Barnet's recent good run with a 3-0 at The Don Valley Stadium. Ellison (5th min) and Law (25th min) have the Millers a 2-goal lead going in at the break, with Le Fondre scoring the third in the 60th minute. Rotherham United 3rd, Barnet 8th.

Aldershot Town ran off with a convincing 4-1 win over Cheltenham Town at The Recreation Ground. Winfield gave the Shots a 34th minute lead, with Richards levelling from the penalty spot in the 65th minute. Charles restored the advantage in the 69th minute, with Morgan adding to the tally in the 73rd minute and Donnelly making sure of the win in the 92nd minute. Aldershot Town 4th, Cheltenham Town 10th.

Rochdale also notched up a 4-1 win. Theirs came at the expense of Hereford United at Spotland. Dagnall gave Dale a 19th minute lead, with Pugh levelling 4 minutes later. Whaley restored Dale's advantage on the stroke of half time. Buckley (80th min) and Dawson (83rd min) ensured that the points remained at home. Rochdale 5th, Hereford United 21st.

Shrewsbury Town were another to claim a 3-goal winning scoreline, their being 3-0 over Northampton Town at the New Meadow. Robinson gave the Shrews a 22nd minute lead, with Labadie (50th min) and Langmead (54th min) making sure of the points after the restart. Shrewsbury Town 6th, Northampton Town 22nd.

Notts County find themselves back in the play-off places following a 3-1 win over Port Vale at Meadow Lane. Hughes netted a brace (16th and on the stroke of half time, the latter from the penalty spot), either side of a Richards penalty in the 44th minute. A Collins own goal in the 58th minute sealed the win for the home side. Notts County 7th, Port Vale 16th.

Bradford City claimed their 4th victory of the season with a 3-0 win over Chesterfield at Valley Parade. Flynn got proceedings underway with a 23rd minute goal, which was added to with strikes from Neilson in the 55th minute and Brandon in the 86th minute. Bradford City 9th, Chesterfield 15th.

Crisis club, Accrington Stanley played out an 8-goal thriller at Livingstone Road on Friday evening, with the home side running out 5-3 winners against Crewe Alexandra. Grant and Symes gave the home side a dream start with goals in the 3rd and 5th minutes before Grant pulled one back in the 43rd minute. Grant completed his brace with a 49th minute strike, with Proctor adding his name to the score sheet in the 68th minute. Symes completed his brace in the 77th minute before the Alex claimed to late goals through Grant (his second of the evening) in the 82nd minute and Murphy in the 93rd minute. Accrington Stanley 12th, Crewe Alexandra 11th.

At last! Bury have a home win at the 5th time of asking! But they left it late against Lincoln City to claim their first home win of the season. Lowe scored the first in the 85th minute, with Worrall making sure of the win in the 94th minute. Bury 13th, Lincoln City 19th.

Grimsby Town were held at home by bottom club Darlington at Blundell Park. Atkinson put the home side ahead in the 21st minute, with Darlo levelling in the 82st minute. After the match, the Darlington manager, Colin Todd resigned. Grimsby Town 17th, Darlington 24th.

A potential relegation 6-pointer was played out at Moss Rose between Macclesfield and Torquay United. Benyon gave the Devon-side a 51st minute lead, with Bencherif neeting a brace and the 3-points, with goals in the 61st and 68th minutes. Macclesfield 20th, Torquay United 23rd.
