Blackpool suffered a rare home defeat against Brentford at Bloomfield Road as the Londoners ran out 3-1 winners. Frampton (13th min) and a brace from Kuffour (29th and 30th mins) helped Brentford to a 3-goal lead in the first half an hour. Blackpool claimed a consolation in the final few seconds from Vernon. Doncaster Rovers suffered just their 2nd home defeat of the campaign, going down 2-1 to Carlise United. Coppinger had put the home side in the 3rd munite. Smith (56 mins) levelled with Hawley scoring the winner iin the 78th minute to claim all 3-points. Doncaster Rovers 8th, Carlisle United 10th.
Northampton Town continue to hover over the relegation zone as they slipped at home against Crewe Alexandra. Varney gave the visitors the lead in the 26th minute. Johnson levelled for the home side in the 55th minute but then saw Varney claim his, and Crewe's second of the match just 2 minutes later. Northampton Town 19th, Crewe Alexandra 12th.
Gillingham slipped up on their travels at the Galpharm Stadium, 3-1 to Huddersfield Town. Beckett and Booth got the home side off to a flying start with goals in the 3rd and 8th minutes respectively. Mulligan pulled one back in the 70th minute, only to see Booth net his second in the 83rd minute to complete the victory. Huddersfield Town 11th, Gillingham 13th.
