Oldham Athletic returned back to the top of League One with a single goal victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium. Warne scored the only goal in the 32nd minute to claim all 3-points and top-spot. Swansea City 7th, Oldham Athletic 1st.

Scunthorpe United (2nd) lost out as a result of their match being postponed against Crewe Alexandra (15th).

Nottingham Forest also scored a single goal victory over Northampton Town at The City Ground. Their goal was scored by Bennett in the 66th minute. Nottingham Forest 3rd, Northampton Town 19th.

Yeovil Town made the long trip north to Carlisle United and came away from Brunton Park with a fine 4-1 win - their 6th on their travels. Carlisle United had taken the lead though, just before half time, through Garner in the 43rd minute. After the break though, Yeovil bounced back through Gray (49 mins), a brace from Best (72 and 90 mins), plus one from Cohen, also in stoppage time. Carlisle United 10th, Yeovil Town 4th.

Bristol City had to make do with a 1-1 draw at home against Huddersfield Town. Taylor-Fletcher had given the visitors the lead in the 52nd minute, and probably thought that it was going to be enough for all 3-points. Johnson spoilt the celebrations as he levelled in the 88th minute. Bristol City 5th, Huddersfield Town 11th.

Tranmere Rovers returned to the play-off places with a single goal victory over Doncaster Rovers at Prenton Park. The only goal came in the 6th minute through Greenacre. Tranmere Rovers 6th, Doncaster Rovers 9th.

Gillingham also secured a single goal win, but at the expense of Bradford City at Priestfield. Johnson scored the only goal of their game in the 45th minute. Gillingham 12th, Bradford City 16th.

Millwall secured their 6th home win of the season with a 2-1 win over Chesterfield at The New Den. Byfield gave the home side the lead in the 10th minute. Hall levelled in the 58th, only to see Hubertz score the winner in the 85th minute. Millwall 14th, Chesterfield 18th.

The race to beat the drop was raised a notch as Brentford secured a single goal win at home against Brighton & Hove Albion, who like Chesterfield, are being dragged in to the scrap to beat the drop. Kuffour scored the only goal of the game in the 31st minute. Brentford 23rd, Brighton & Hove Albion 17th.

The remaining game of the day saw AFC Bournemouth knock 5 past Leyton Orient at Dean Court. Loanee Wilson got off the mark in the 10th minute, which was followed by Anderton's first ever hat trick with strikes in the 16th, 47th and 53rd minutes. The fifth was secured by Hayter in the 68th minute. AFC Bournemouth 20th, Leyton Orient 21st.

Blackpool (8th) had their game against Rotherham United (24th) called off due to the adverse weather conditions, as did Port Vale (13th) and Cheltenham Town (22nd).
