MK Dons will be pleased to open up a bit of breathing space at the top of the table with Chester's loss at Bradford on Tuesday night, after defeating Grimsby 2-0 at Stadium MK. First half strikes from Aaron Wilbraham and Mark Wright did the damage.

The play off picture is extremely tight, with the Millers sitting in 7th spot but just a point off 2nd. Wins for Darlington and a 4-2 success for Chesterfield at basement club Lincoln - including a Jack Lester hat-trick, keeps the pack bunched together. Peterborough remained in the automatic frame after 3 goals in the last 20 minutes at London Road saw them come from behind to see off Dagenham who had taken a 30th minute lead. Aaron McLean netted twice to take his tally to 3 in the space of 4 days.

Elsewhere, Stockport grabbed a much needed 2-1 victory at Rochdale with Liam Dickinson netting twice, ex County striker Adam Le Fondre replied from the spot for Dale - whilst Ryan Cresswell's second game for Morecambe after leaving Millmoor ended in misery as he scored at the wrong end in a 1-0 home defeat to Accrington, who are handily placed in 10th spot.

Wrexham continue to struggle after playing out a goaless draw with Wycombe last night at the Racecourse Ground.
