Notts County continue to set the pace following an emphatic 4-0 win over Macclesfield at Moss Rose. Ravenhill got County underway with a 13th minute goal, which was added on the stroke of half time by Hunt. A Wright own goal in the 50th minute didn't help the Silkmens cause which left Westcarr to wrap up a convincing win in the 90th minute. Macclesfield 21st, Notts County 1st.

AFC Bournemouth claimed a single goal victory over Rotherham United at Dean Court. Garry headed the only goal of the game on the stroke of half time. AFC Bournemouth 2nd, Rotherham United 13th.

Dagenham & Redbridge
make up the trio of sides with 100% starts in the League, securing a 5-3 win over Torquay United at Victoria Road. Gain gave the Daggers an 18th minute lead, followed by a Green brace in the 55th and 56th minutes. Torquay pulled one back through a Wroe penalty in the 62nd minute, but saw Scott re-establish the 3-goal advantage in the 66th minute. Benyon (81st min) and Carayol (87th min) gave the Devon side hope of snatching a draw before Thomas secured the win 5 minutes in to injury time. Dagenham & Redbridge 3rd, Torquay United 10th.

Shrewsbury Town will have to improve their away League form from last season if they are going to progress this time round and will be looking to beat teams, like Barnet, to do so. They failed on the road at Underhill, being pegged to a 2-2 draw. Elder gave the Shrews a 2nd minute lead, but fell behind when Hyde netted a brace in the 30th and 44th minutes - the latter coming from the penalty spot. Hibbert salvaged a point in the 57th minute. Barnet 18th, Shrewsbury Town 4th.

Relegated Cheltenham Town claimed a point against local rivals Hereford United at Edgar Street. Hammond gave the visitors a 59th minute lead only for Godsmark to level matters in the 76th minute. Hereford United 16th, Cheltenham Town 5th.

Rochdale left it very late to claim a win against Aldershot Town at Spotland. Kennedy scored the winner in the 94th minute. Rochdale 6th, Aldershot Town 9th.

Are Grimsby Town looking at a long hard season? They slipped at home against Crewe Alexandra as the Railwaymen ran away with a 4-0 win at Blundell Park. Zola netted a brace before half time with goals in the 34th and 45th minutes. Jones converted from the spot in the 47th minute with Moore wrapping up the win in the 94th minute. Grimsby Town 24th, Crewe Alexandra 7th.

In front of their own crowd for the first time as a
Football League side, Burton Albion put on a fine display against Morecambe at The Pirelli Stadium. Pearson gave Albion a dream start in the 3rd minute, with Penn doubling the advantage in the 16th minute. Craney pulled one back for the visitors a minute later. Harrad re established the 2-goal advantage in the 38th minute. Pearson completed his brace from the spot in the 54th minute with Jevons pulling one back in the 62nd minute. McGrath rounded off a 5-2 win in the 75th minute. Burton Albion 8th, Morecambe 20th.

Accrington Stanley secured their first win of the new season with a 1-0 win over Lincoln City at Livingstone Road. Kempton scored the only goal of the game in the 51st minute. Accrington Stanley 11th, Lincoln City 12th.

Chesterfield also won by a single goal. Their win at Saltergate was at the expense of Northampton Town as McDermott scored the only goal in the 32nd minute. Chesterfield 14th, Northampton Town 19th.

Bury claimed their first win of the season with a 1-0 win over Darlington at The Arena. Robertson scored the only goal of the game in the 59th minute. Darlington 23rd, Bury 15th.

Finally, Bradford City (22nd) and Port Vale (17th) could only manage a 0-0 draw at Valley Parade.
