Rochdale seem to be unstoppable at the moment as they open up a 9-point gap on the chasing pack following an emphatic 4-1 away win over Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road. An O'Grady hat-trick in the 18th, 49th and 93rd minutes, with a contribution from Dawson in the 56th minute only drew a consolation from Townsend in the 90th minute for the home side. Aldershot Town grabbed 'local' bragging rights over AFC Bournemouth following a 2-1 win at The Recreation Ground. Sandell gave the Shots a 21st minute lead, with Pitman levelling from the penalty spot in the 61st minute. The winner came from Straker in the 87th minute, leaving the Cherries to their 3rd straight defeat. Both sides saw red as 2 players were dismissed. Bury maintained their recent fine run of form with a single goal victory over Hereford United at Gigg Lane. Jones netted the only goal of the game in the 2nd minute. Bury 3rd, Hereford United 20th.
Rotherham United got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over struggling Grimsby Town at The Don Valley Stadium. A Le Fondre brace in the 9th and 38th minutes was enough as the Mariners could only respond with a 93rd minute consolation through Fletcher. Rotherham United 4th, Grimsby Town 23rd.

Morecambe made it a long journey for Barnet back to London as the hosts won out 2-1 at Christie Park. Drummond gave the home side a 4th minute lead. Even though Lockwood levelled from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, Duffy scored the winner in the 78th minute. Morecambe 10th, Barnet 18th.
They may have won midweek, but normal service resumed for Darlington at Gresty Road against Crewe Alexandra as the home side ran out 3-0 winners.
