A pleasing performance - Robins

The Millers recorded their first win in five outings but remain in fifth in League Two with the top seven teams all recording victories.

Speaking after the game to www.themillers.co.uk, Robins explained: "It was a pleasing performance although we should have had about seven or eight goals then we were playing Russian roulette at the end because we made the wrong decisions and they were given a bit of a lifeline.

"But we controlled it and weren't really in any danger of losing it. We had a lot of opportunities but they have to keep doing the right things and getting in the right area then chances will come. What they need is one to fly in off the back side.

"Marc Newsham came back in after he had been absolutely outstanding in training, he took his chance very well and that's what happens with young players - they did and come back so we just have to keep giving them that confidence.

"The only way of doing that is to keep throwing them in. Derek Holmes had to come off and I don't know the extent of his injury yet, he will be in for treatment tomorrow. Wins bring back morale so it was important to get that win today; Lincoln had won five on the bounce so any one can beat anyone. It was more like us today, we grew in confidence as the game went on.

"I made changes today and sometimes there is a dip in form so it gives others an opportunity, that's what makes it healthy competition for the squad."
