The Millers were 1-0 up and looking to claim thier first win in 7 when a defensive mixup let Blackpool score an unexpected equiliser; "It’s just a hoof, Craig slips and then Adam comes out. A 10-year-old should deal with it. He’s a lovely kid but I don’t want lovely kids, I want winners. He should hit it away, it’s a huge error." Evans said.
"The ball shouldn’t get to him because our captain should deal with it. He slipped last week which led to a Birmingham goal and he slipped today so we’ve told him to sort his footwear out.
“Blackpool were never going to score. I don’t think they had a chance from open play in the first half. In the first 25 minutes we blew them away. I think it’s the most exciting I’ve seen us play and we just didn’t get the goal. If the goal would have come we could have laid them to bed by half time - I think we were that good."
“By a country distance we deserved to win but if you make cardinal sins you get punished.”
The gaffer made 7 changes for the match, none of which he called as a difficult decision. "There were no difficult calls. The only one was Frazer Richardson who was injured, the rest were straight forward. Last week was unacceptable."
'I`m delighted with those young kids today. They've come in and played with fluency and been terrific in spells."
'Those that were left out will have to fight. But to be fair we`ve got great characters in the dressing room. The likes of big Alex and Frecks have been out before and come back with all guns blazing but they need to do it again. We are going to work with this group but it doesn`t mean to say we are going to be the same team next week."
"If we play like that we will be fine, we just can't make mistakes like that."
