Defeat cruel on Millers - Moore

Last updated : 27 March 2010 By Deano

Luke Rodgers' goal settled a close encounter but after a shaky start the Millers bossed alot of the second period.

Moore told the post match media he was shell shocked but couldn't fault his lads for effort.

He explained: "It was cruel there is no doubt about that. I didn't really see it coming to be honest.

"For the first 15 minutes we were at sixes and sevens, the two front lads caused us one or two problems, but after that I think that we more than matched them.

"The linesman has said that Alf has tapped it in for our goal but how he has seen that I don't know because he was nowhere near it," added Ronnie.

"What a crucial decision to make. Alfie has sworn blind to me that he hasn't touched it and then in the end we have been done with a long punt down the middle from the 'keeper and we didn't deal with the second ball.

"Football is cruel. Today was a massive game for us but I have nothing but praise for the lads they have given their all. We have come to a really difficult place and more than held our own."
