Speaking to the clubs official site after the game, Big Steve said; “I think Cardiff have won five out of the last six games here but we have out-passed, out-moved, created chances leaving them to resort to balls up to Kenwyne Jones, Everytime we won possession we got the ball down, at times we were running through them with 10-15 passes. The performance delights me but there is a lot more to come from this young group, and it is something to build on after eight or nine hard working days on the training ground in some evolutionary stages at the club, where we are changing how we play and how we do things and that is working."
“We kept hold of the ball, we kept passing and moving it and we had an end product. If we keep playing like that, keep working as hard, keep being brave on the ball then we’ll get the rewards.”
“The overriding feeling in the dressing room today is we are very disappointed that we are not going away with the three points.”
Meanwhile, loanee Tom Lawrence echoed the sentiment; "The lads are actually a bit gutted because we were pleased with how we played and felt like we deserved all three points, but if we continue to play like that we’ll be fine. We dominated the game from start to finish I thought, we played some nice football and in the end were just disappointed not to get a goal.”
