Evans said afterwards: "What a fantastic advert for League One football.
"What an honour it is to come to Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are an outstanding club from top to bottom and we wish them every success in the Championship.
"People can talk about all the investment and parachute payments but you still have to produce a team that wins football matches and Kenny Jackett has done that.
"We have had many plaudits from Wolves who have told us we are the best team they have played this season. That is a big compliment considering the resources that they have here.
"We are disappointed with some of the aspects of our play but we are very proud of the performance, especially in that second-period.
"In that second-half I think Wolves saw an outstanding Rotherham performance. We are a special team and we are looking forward to the play-offs.
"We are exceptional going forward and we know we have to be better defensively. As a team we did not defend well enough today, but we are exciting to watch.
"I would rather be watching us than watching 11 men behind the ball every week and struggling to get over the half-way line. We play some entertaining football."
