Speaking to Radio Sheffield after the game, Mick Harford reflects on another defeat for the Millers, "It's another defeat, which is the most dissapointing thing. First half was ok, we were nice and sharp and bright, but we never came out the second half again. We come out and had one opportunity where we hit the post, but we never looked like getting back into the game second half."

"A goal kills us, a goal for us might just shake them, I dont know these players 100% just yet, but I've had a long and deep 20 minute chat in there, about what the reasons are, some home truths have been said in there, so maybe they just get themselves on a downer or maybe theres a realisation is that they cant claw themselves back into a game, its something we'll have to rectify."

"The players are as devastated as anyone because they wanted to finish the season at home on a high note and send the fans away happy, we've got leeds left to try and do that."

Mick was asked about the fact that we had'nt won at home all season on a Saturday, "It's a stat which is not a good stat, that should never happen! We've won more away games than home games, for what reason I don't know. We've got to rectify that and do something about it, I'll be working tirelessly over the summer."

Contract Offered
Mick was then asked about players contracts, with 5 players out of contract in the summer. "I've just told the players, I'll tell them first in everything I do, I'll sit down with each and everyone of them over Tuesday and Wednesday over the course of the day and explaine what we'd like to do."

"It's not about giving the players bad news, its about telling them what the future is, not just for themselves, but for this football club. The football club is the most important thing and I'm trying to bring some success here next year."

Harford looked back on his first few weeks in the Millmoor hot seat, "I'm a bit dissapointed, I thought I could come here and get a victory, which hasnt come arouund, but its given me a major clear pciture of what I need to do and what needs to be done. It's not about me or anybody else, its about the future of Rotherham United, I want to bring some success to this football club and I'll do whatever it takes to do that."
