Knill reflects on heavy defeat

Rotherham were undone by a hat-trick of headers from journeryman striker Andy Booth, leaving Knill spitting feathers on the defensive frailties from balls into the Millers box.

Talking to the official site he explained: "For the first 20 minutes we were on top but after that we couldn't stop crosses or deal with them when they came in. You have to do that when you are up against a player like Andy Booth and we were pretty on the ball with plenty of possession but the bottom line is we've lost 4-1 with three goals coming from crosses.

"The key goal was the second one and you have to look at how hard did we do to stop the cross from coming, we had given the players all the information on Booth who's made a career on getting on the end of crosses. The third goal was then crucial as we were by far the better team in the second half moving the ball around well and having a couple of chances without really testing their keeper. I thought if anyone was going to score it was us but they got it to kill us off. I know all about Booth and he is a really good target player - but take him out of their team and it was a close game.

"There are still plenty of teams in the battle at the bottom so we have it in our hands still. We were in the game as we have been in most games but conceded at crucial times after we had scored a great goal."

Knill added: "We need to win two on the bounce and it has been shown in this league anyone can beat anyone."
