The Millers let their lead slip to draw yet another game at DVS as it finished 2-2 with all the goals coming before half time.
And a frustrated Moore told Radio Sheffield: "We scored two fantastic goals but then we shoot ourselves in the foot. But when you're two-nil up you can't concede like that. The first one was a daft free-kick and the balls been played in the box, the lads got a toe to it and it's gone in the back of the net. And straight from the kick-off they're down the other end and Coid is over covering.
"The way we played against Crewe and how we defended then we come out today and defend like that. It's soul destroying when we're working hard and then they get goals like that which they haven't had to work for.
"Second half we've hit and missed really without creating too many chances or asking too many questions from the 'keeper. We've got to keep going and believing that we can win games, that was more or less the side that played on Saturday and alright, we've had to make a change at the back that doesn't help but Greeny has come in and done alright."
Moore ranted: "They're inconsistent though we had the same problems last year. I think it was eight or nine games we'd drawn here but when you're two up it doesn't matter whether you're playing well or playing badly, you've got to keep the ball.
"We've got to learn. We've been three up here and drawn three all and we've been two up today which is four points that would probably have put you at least second in the league.
"Some of our defending is naïve and we can't defend like we've defended tonight and win game. There's a lot to work on, there's no doubt about that."
Speaking of the main plus point on the night, Marcus Marshall, the manager said: "He was the one shining light really. He was a constant threat and he's done so much damage to them and taken them on and he's a pleasure to watch. If the final ball had been right tonight then we'd probably have won the game. It was a great finish for his goal. But we need other players to get on the end of things in the box."
Moore concluded: "It was nice to see Ryan get a goal. That will do his confidence a lot of good.
"I don't think you can fault Jamie Annerson today, he's done nothing wrong. He played well on Saturday and made some saves at the right time. I don't think you can fault him for the goals, maybe for having two in the wall when he didn't really need them but he's done ok.
"Kevin Ellison's got a bug and he was in a right mess so we had to change things there. He's got to stay away from the camp for a few days because it's a bug that's going round."
