Moore praises players for display

Speaking after the 1-0 win, Moore was a happy man.

ronniebig1"We played some decent stuff at times, Marshall was outstanding for us and it was nice to see the goal go in. If it was a boxing match I think we just about shaded it on points but I was pleased with the performance today more than anything", said Moore.

"I have nothing but praise for them today, I thought we played with a good tempo from the start, we got stuck in, we closed them down and we had to because they are a decent side with good players. They have clever wingers who come off the flanks and cause you problems, we had to be at our best defensively and we were."

Moore also had a word for Josh Walker, after another great strike. "It was a tremendous goal but to be fair Danny Harrison deserves a lot of credit," added Ronnie.

"Marshall did well in the first place but then Danny got two block tackles in, then Josh showed great skill to come inside on his left foot and then finish well.

"We know that Josh has a decent shot but he doesn't use it as often as he should do. He is good form distance and I have seen him do it for Middlesbrough but he needs to shoot more. He has the ability to do that and it was nice to see him score."

Moore concluded: "They are all must win games and it has always sat with what we do, the moaners and groaners drive me crackers, we've won 10 away in the league same as Rochdale and lost three at home all season, what do people want, we need to put a smile on our faces and get on with it."
