The Millers netted twice late on to see off the Railwaymen 3-1 but face a tough trip to Gillingham on Tuesday after not scoring in their past three away games.
And whilst Moore touched on the Crewe win as a good result, he wants more out of the month as a whole with some big games on the horizon.
"It got off to a bad start at Port Vale so it was vital we won a very important game against Crewe and the lads deserve credit for that," said the Millers manager to the Star.
"February is a massive month; seven games and five against teams fighting for the same thing as we are.
"Both teams knew the importance and significance of a win. The three points put a gap between us and Crewe - had it gone the other way they'd have been above us.
"I thought we showed endeavour and workrate. We pressed and closed Crewe down first half and we kept the ball well."
