Robbo - It was Job done

Robins was happy with a professional performance which saw the side climb to 8th place, just a point off the play offs with two home games to come next week.

The manager told www.themillers.co.uk: "It was a very good result and a decent performance, it took us some time to settle down as they are a strong side who compete well. Once we had our noses in front the outcome was inevitable but let's not take anything away from Dagenham as they are a physical strong side.

"Danny Harrison got two goals today and it will do him the world of good. For him and Mark Hudson to get forward beyond our strikers at times caused problems, especially in the second half.

"I was just disappointed that Marc Newsham didn't get on the scoresheet and when he missed that one Ryan Taylor should have stuck it in with his head when he tired to volley.

"But I thought the all round performance was excellent. I was happy with the different formation, it suits us and it is something I have been thinking abut doing for some time. With Hudson fit it gives us more scope to do it.

"Everyone acquitted themselves very well as this is to difficult place to come. Pablo Mills was excellent in the middle of the park and when he came back from Crawley we had lost Bean so I looked at Pablo in the reserves on Wednesday to run the rule over him and he did exceptionally well.

"His attitude is spot on and as long as he continues that he will play a part. He has good quality on the ball and that could be his position, he can play higher than this level at that position. He needed to work and he has done just that and knuckled down, Crawley wanted to keep him but circumstances at our club had changed and so did he.

"It was a brave performance from Chris O'Grady who showed an excellent desire to play, he was just a little bit off it, on his day he can cause major problems. The plus for me were the front three while Pablo and the two lads in the centre of midfield got beyond them but I could go through the whole team who did an excellent job.

"Ryan Taylor caused a lot of problems and he helped us to get up the field because he gets hold of the ball and he brings other people into the game, we were unlucky not to get more goals but it was job done."
