He told www.themillers.co.uk: "That performance was probably the best we have passed it. Bury were excellent with good movement upfront. We knew that before the game and we dominated for long spells, again we had chances to put the game to bed before the referee gave a poor decision (for Bury's penalty). Some referees decisions leave you bewildered.
"I don't want to dwell on that and I said at half time they can do just that or go out and play like they had just done in the first 45 minutes, thankfully they did that.
"The full backs Dale Tonge and Steve Brogan got us out well and everyone to a man was excellent whilst Pablo Mills was immense, breaking down and setting everything up for us.
"We are improving week in and week out and they are getting the confidence to believe in themselves and that will stand them in good stead. Its four on the bounce now and it was a well deserved three points.
