Robins - We weren't focused

Robins, speaking to www.themillers.co.uk, admitted his team were just not at the races from the first whistle, but praised the second half comeback which earnt the Millers a second chance for the right to play Swindon in round two.

He explained: "It wasn't good, we tried to hammer into them all week that coming to places like this against a team in a lower division, we had to be right mentally. But we didn't start and I would have been alot happier to get to half time at 1-0 but we conceded a poor goal on the stroke of half time.

"But all credit to them as they came out in the second half and put on a show when either side could have won it and it was a typical cup performance. Now we have the chance to finish the job at Millmoor but we'll come unstuck if we think it's a formality.

"We were not focused and it was disappointing as we knew what to expect all week, we had to change our system to suit them and i'm not taking anything away from Forest Green and well done to them as they were excellent. In cup football you have to put a shift in and we weren't mentally right.

"Steve Brogan was excellent second half and I felt I couldn't leave him against Afful as he was on a yellow card, Paul Hurst came on and gave us the spark we needed to get a draw."

Robins also mentioned the footballs used in yesterday's game, adding: "The footballs are not round in FA Cup games, they are egg-shaped like last season - it's shocking - you are talking about a premier competition and the balls don't roll right."
