Describing the performance as even worse than the Accrington home defeat, he raged: "It was absolute garbage and the worst performance I have seen.
"I was embarassed and I think tonight proved we are not gtood enough, infact we are a million miles away from being good enough, and that is against a Bury team looking at relegation but we looked like the relegation fodder.
"I would rather play kids than watch that it was that poor. I feel for the supporters who have travelled and apologise on behalf of myself and the players. They are paid to do a job and when they fall short of doing it it's a disgrace.
"We controlled the first 15 or 20 minutes but as soon as the ball goes in our net we look hesitant and tentative and it threads through the team like the plague. They played as if they don't care and I know that's not true. I will have to wait and see what the team will be for Saturday (against Chesterfield) and assess things.
"It's a big worry and concern and just isn't good enough. I will think about extra training as we lacked application, fight and enthusiasm and that level of performance is just not acceptable."
