Ronnie's Reaction - Sunderland

"I'm dissapointed really, but Sunderland are a quality top 6 side and were the better side, but I thought first half we battled and stopped them playing, the second, we faded but to lose to a goal that was offside is disapointing for us but thats the way it goes when your down there."

"The goal was'nt even close! from where I was it looked offside and I was'nt even in line with it, On the tv hes a yard offside when the balls played, but Polly's saved everything but was so unfortunate not to get a fingertip to it. He's kept us in the game!!"

"We might have pinched a draw with Barker on the back post with the diving header, maybe it was the wrong decision, maybe he should have sidefooted it or volleyed it, he would have had more chance of scoring doing that. but we created that chance, I thought Junior was nice and bright in the first half, he overdid it a few times when on the ball but showed what ability he has got."

Junior has since made it clear he feels his future lies with Derby County, dispite him saying the deal could be made permanent at Millmoor...

Pollitt - Excellent

"We need a Carl Robinson, someone who can get on the ball, he never broke sweat really, some of his passing was excellent, and thats what we need. but at this moment we've got workers and grafters and we need that little bit of quality as I think the strikers will be ok. But we need to get somebody in that Midfield who's going to put the foot on it and steady it down because its hundred miles an hour in there"

"Junior needed a game, he's not played for a while so thats why I left him on, I wanted him to get through the 90 minutes, he'll benefit from that and I hope we'll benefit from him being here. He's twisting and turning arouund the penalty area and a great left foot. But I was dissapointed that our so-called quality players made the wrong decisions tonight."

When asked if the Millers can turn around their season "We have to belive we can, graft and determination isnt everything, we do need that bit of quality and guile thats gunna guide us.
