Barker came off injured on 80 minutes after a outstrectched leg from West Ham debutant Calum Davenport which caught his ankle and saw him leave the field on a stretcher with what looked like a serious injury, however today brought the news that Richie should be fit for this Saturday's game at Coventry as the injury was a Compressed nerve and thankfully nothing more serious.
However boss Ronnie Moore was pleased with his team but upset at the result and the manner of how it came, he told the BBC Radio Sheffield reporter "It's frustrating again! I dont know how many times I've said that this season" Ronnie opened, "It was pleasing to come in nil-nil at half time as we've come down here with a game plan and it's worked, the crowd were on thier backs 20 minutes into the second half, theyre just about to put the sub on, but for some reason the Ref has given the free kick 20 yards out and its in the back of the net."
And after backing up Mike Pollitt yesterday Ronnie feels that he could have done better for the goal, "I think Polly shouldhave done better, the ball went around the wall, he took a stride the wrong way and then could'nt get it so I'm dissapointed with that, and then its an uphill battle for us cos we cant buy a goal at the moment."

Ronnie also wasnt putting referee Mike Jones on his christmas card list, after failing to spot the bad tackle that injured Richie Barker, "It was a foul, the lads gone in with the studs and it was a yellow card for me, the referee didnt agree and gave a corner which should have been a free kick on the edge of the area. But with 26,000 fans the ref lent a little towards the home team I thought, again with their free kick, Marlon Harewood semnt to go down in stages I thought, but once 26000 start screaming their heads off!"
"Proctor should have tested the keeper from where he was but his put it over the bar, as I say the search goes on, we just cant buy a goal at the moment even from set plays, we're normally ok from them."
"The last two games the fighting spirit has been there, but that alone wont keep you up, we can fight and scrap all season but we need the icing on the cake to take the pressure away from the back four, we need to get shots on goal and start scoring."
Ronnie finished by saying he's not sure if anybody new will be here by the weekend!? but hes talking to somebody who's experienced and has scored lots of goals.
