“It was disappointing, particularly the way we opened up. We were bright in the first half and with any luck we could have probably been 2-0 up. If Junior takes the opportunity that was there its game, set, and match. Unfortunately they’ve scored a goal out of nothing, With 20 minutes to go and your thinking you’ve wethered the storm and it’s going to be your day, then to beat Polly from there I think Polly’s going to be disappointed with the goal.”
“Unfortunately though they went a scored a goal out of nothing. With 20 minutes to go you think that you’ve weathered the storm and its going to be our day, but to beat Polly from there I think he’s going to be disappointed with the goal”.
“They’re a decent side but I don’t think they had that many chances! I don’t think Polly’s made that many saves but yeah they’re going to make chances with the quality up front”
| Dissapointed? But what about the Midfielders? |
|
“They should have scored straight after half time, but when they didn’t you think it going to be our day, but unfortunately it wasn’t. We can’t defend as deep as we did and expect to win games, simple as that. You can’t afford to defend that deep because you’re asking them to come onto you and they will.”
Commenting on the equalizing goal Ronnie said: “It gave them a lifeline, they were dead. They huffed and puffed without creating that many chances even though they saw a lot of the ball, but to beat Polly from 40 yards, centre of goal, you can’t do it. He’s been out lifesaver this season and made some wonderful saves and he made a great save just after the goal. But our defence was all over the place, for the experience they’ve got to be caught the way we were, unfortunately Pollitt makes a mistake at that time and it was costly”.
| Robbie Stockdale |
|
“Their sub came on and gave us one or two problems! But Robbie Stockdale has done reasonably well in holding his play up, and for their lad to get a tap in at the far post its cruel, but that’s the way it is at the moment.”
“Butler did alright, its going to be difficult, its going to take time and games but we’ve had a hour plus out of him and I think he’ll get better but the only way for him to do it is play games.”
“We’ve had no luck all season, but you have to make your own luck and keep working. We’ve been in all the games recently, we’ve been 2-0 up twice, 2-0 down, 1-0 up, and we take one point, that’s the be all and end all as to why we are where we are.”
