After a poor first half the Millers trailed but an equalising goal from Shaun Harrad against his old club after the break rescued the day, and Scott said it was a point gained.
He spoke afterwards telling the press: "It was a good second half, but we're just disappointed that we didn't have the tempo to our game in the first half really.
"We got drawn into their game, and how they slowed it down, and it was taking time to get the game going. We fell into that trap really and second half was much better. We started off well, got the goal and created a few chances. I was disappointed with how we tried defending some things at the end, but we were trying to win the game."
The boss added: "We felt we didn't play like we did on Tuesday (against Accrington). We'd done so well, moving into space and there was people driving with the ball and had more composure on the ball. We were giving it away sloppily today, but it's three games in a week and we've got seven points, so it's a decent week as any game away from home is tough."
