The boss saw his side go out of the JPT after Ched Evans' last minute winner for the visitors at Don Valley, but admitted his team were the better outfit.
"I thought we were fantastic," Scott told Millers Player. "We changed the formation a bit, but I thought we moved the ball well. We've got the players who can move the ball in good areas and we did it better than we have in the last few games.
"We conceded with what was their first effort on goal but we kept on going and deserved our equaliser and Danny Schofield could have scored to put us in front.
"We were the better side, but sometimes you don't get what you deserve in football. The lads that came in have done very well and we tinkered with the system that we tried in pre-season, but everyone adapted to it."
Scott added that he will step his search for loan cover at the back after injury to Mark Bradley who dislocated his shoulder and Ryan Cresswell's continued absence.
"It's a disappointment we have to do that but we need to make sure we have a strong enough squad to compete in the next few games."
